last weekend brad and i snuck away for a night for a romantic getaway. we went back to pine grove park bed & breakfast (the same place we went for our mini honeymoon). it’s only about an hour drive from our house and we got a friend to stop by and hang out with the pups a couple times, so it was a really painless trip.
it was kind of gross weather (rain/snow/slush and cold) so we were happy to snuggle up in our own little cabin in the woods for almost 24 hours.

we brought a season of the office and the newest batman movie, a bottle of wine, and our comfiest sweats. that and the amazing/giant jacuzzi tub was all we needed!

it was so nice to take that night to ourselves as a (very) belated first anniversary present. (we tried to schedule it closer to our anniversary last august, but couldn’t get an opening, so we postponed it.)

I love Bed and Breakfasts! We were married at one and we find them so much more charming and personal than hotels
It looks like such the perfect getaway. Sometimes it’s nice to do the little things you’d do at home – somewhere else! Even just a little getaway can be rejuvenating

Looks so cozy!! Love the little fireplace. Glad you guys were able to get away, even if you didn’t fully escape this nasty weather.
