time to shed a tear.
this week’s csa box was our last of the season.

i’m going to miss not having to buy produce at the supermarket.

in the box this week was:
- kuri squash
- yukon gold potatoes
- daikon radishes
- white salad turnips
- radishes
- carrots
- kale

again, not much of a plan for this week. we’ve got so many potatoes and so many winter squash from the last few weeks. i won’t have to buy any of them for a while. we’ll eat the carrots & radishes in salad or dipped in hummus.
and i pretty much attacked the kale as soon as i got it home!

kale chip success!
i misted these with olive oil spray, sprinkled them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil, and oregano, and baked them at 250* for about 25 minutes, flipping often.

what’s your favorite winter squash recipe?
i have two butternuts, an acorn, a buttercup, two delicata, a spaghetti, and now a kuri squash sitting on our kitchen counter. i need a squash intervention.

You know there have been a ton of pregnant bloggers recently when I (still slightly sleepy) look at the title of your post and think for a second it is a baby post. Clearly I shouldn’t be reading blogs before coffee
As for squash recipes: Heather’s Long Island Cheese Squash (I used butternut) Mac N Cheese is SO good. http://www.browniesandzucchini.com/2010/10/14/macaroni-and-long-island-cheese-squash/
This butternut squash lasagna is also delicious: http://www.browniesandzucchini.com/2011/10/18/butternut-squash-lasagna/
