things i’m loving lately

woop woop! i’ve got a fun 7 things sunday today!

i’ve recently introduced myself to a lot of new-to-me products. part of this is thanks to the new amazing wodman’s supermarket that opened recently in sun prairie & part is thanks to finding a pretty great health & wellness store that carries awesome products.

7 things sunday

i thought it’d be fun to showcase some of my new favorites 7-things-sunday style!

1. first up, bragg’s flavored apple cider vinegars!

bragg organic flavored apple cider vinegar

i’ve been doing a good job of drinking my regular apple cider vinegar every morning, but sometimes it’s fun to try something new! i’ve been adding these flavored acv’s some days during the afternoon.

the first one i tried was the concord grape-acai and brad and i loved it so much that i decided to try the other flavors!

the acv + honey is a little bit sweet for me, but brad really likes it.

the ginger spice is still un-opened in the fridge. i’ll report back on how it is, but given my penchant for anything ginger-flavored, i have a feeling it might become my favorite one!

2. speaking of delicious ginger-flavored drinks. i’ve got another one!

high country kombucha - ginger warm and welcome

i found this high country kombucha the other day and was so pumped to try it! i am a huge kombucha fan, and since we stopped brewing our own (must get back into that…), i have been buying it every now & then for a treat.

ok, who am i kidding, i pick one up almost every time i’m at the supermarket. they call to me…

this ginger high country kombucha tastes great! it reminds me of gt’s gingerade.

3. i might be the last person in the blog-world to try this next product, but i did and i’m a fan!

chocolate pb2

pb2!!

i was a little put-off by the description, “peanut butter powder”, but after trying it, i’m mad i waited so long!

it mixes in really well with smoothies, cottage cheese, and yogurt. helpful hint: pb2 + chobani vanilla chocolate chunk yogurt = amazing-blow-your-mind-delicious!

4. this next one isn’t really new to me, i’ve tried it once before, but it’s too good not to share again!

cookie dough nutty butter from the smart kitchen

i placed an order for some nutty butter from the lovely sarah smart and it arrived recently. i’ve exercised amazing self-control not to eat all of it in one sitting, it’s so good.

this time i tried the cookie dough flavor, which is definitely my favorite, followed closely by oatmeal raisin cookie.

and now she has more flavors available.

i think i need to institute a nut-butter budget for myself because it’s hard to resist trying them all!

5. nurish green energy.

nurish green energy drink

i’ve finally found a greens drink that tastes good!

nurish green energy has a fruity flavor that i actually like just mixed with water!

greens do so many good things for your body, and while i try to consume quite a few greens in my diet, i know i could be better about squeezing in more. i definitely don’t use this product to replace eating actual green veggies, i think about it as more of an add-on to add a little extra green-power-punch!

6. brad, if you’re reading, look away for this one.

i made quite a few impulse purchases on my last trip to woodman’s. everything was calling to me!

impulse buys

the larabars, sabra, and lentil chips are all old favorites that weren’t on the list, but the real impulses were two flavors of pb&co nut butter and a cheribundi tart cherry juice!

i’ve only ever had one other flavor of pb&co before – dark chocolate dreams. i really liked it, so i was excited to see that woodman’s had about 7 other flavors! i controlled myself a little and only grabbed two to try this time.

brad has been loving the bee’s knees, which is making me contemplate hiding the rest! cinnamon raisin swirl is actually my favorite of the two though. i’m a sucker for cinnamon-raisin flavored things!

and the cheribundi… i’ve seen this juice on quite a few other blogs recently, but hadn’t seen it in stores until now. ahh, it’s delicious! i wish it wasn’t so good because, clearly i don’t need more products calling out to me from the supermarket shelves!

7. ok, this last one isn’t food related, but it is a new “toy” that i’m so excited about…

adobe photoshop elements 10

woop! photoshop elements 10! i have been wanting to learn photoshop for a while now, and when i saw a great price on the student & teacher edition, i decided to snap it up while i’m still a student and qualify for that discount!

i’ve quickly discovered that there is definitely a learning curve with it, but i’m slowly learning new things! i know it’s not amazing or anything, but i was very proud of myself for putting together that collage image at the top of this post.

just don’t ask me how long it took! ;)

………………….

after doing all of this product loving, i’m feeling the need for a disclosure…

full disclosure: i purchased all of the above items with my own money (unfortunately). i’m not being compensated in any way for this post. i just wanted to share the love and maybe introduce you to some new products that you’ll enjoy!

…………………

i’ve enjoyed quite the relaxing morning so far [sarcasm]. i got up to jake puking in our bedroom and then saw that he absolutely destroyed a dog bed throughout the night as well. stuffing everywhere.

once i recovered from that lovely wake-up, it actually has been a nice morning. i had my apple cider vinegar & aloe before making a tasty coffee drink. then i read some blogs, played with photoshop, and am writing this post.

the rest of the day is going to be weird – no packer game since they played thursday night (and kicked the bears’ butts – woop woop!). i think i’m going to tackle the weeds in our yard and try to clean up the disaster of a garden bed that we inherited from the previous owners of our house. laundry, bathroom cleaning, meal planning and food prep for the week are also on the agenda.

……………….

not that i need any product recommendations since i clearly find enough to try on my own, but…

do you have any favorite food or non-food products you love and think i should try?

Hooray for Nutty Butter!

And I love me some kombucha…and anything ginger. I’ve seen those Braggs vinegar drinks and wondered about them. Knowing me, I’d just try to make my own. :)

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl is perhaps my favorite PB&Co…of course then I remember Mighty Maple…and White Chocolate Wonderful…I honestly find them a bit sweet, but every now and then that is what I want in a nut butter.

Cheribundi is AWESOME. They make a ginger one, which I love, but I have been told it is being discontinued.

Where did you get that kombucha? I have never seen that brand. I also love ginger flavored kombucha.
At Woodman’s they had Bora Bora bars on sale for 99 cents, and I tried the coconut almond one. It is delicious and tastes just like the Kind bar of the same flavor.

Where did you buy that kombucha? I had their hibiscus elderflower in Boulder and I loved it! I haven’t been able to find it anywhere.

I’m really glad you posted about PB, I’ve had one for months that I’ve put off trying out because the powder didn’t seem too appealing, but I’ll definitely mix it soon!
