dates covered: feb 25 -  march 3

what happened this week: lots of work on my quilt, lots of puppy photos, brad had to do some plumbing (one of our firsts as homeowners!). the week also had a sad note to it. brad’s grandpa passed away on february 24, so we went back to our hometown for the first weekend in march for the funeral.

products used: as usual, lots of seafoam kit cards, some seafoam kit scrapbook paper , and studio calico project life kit cards.

techniques used: i used four inserts this week. one to hold my day in the life documentation and two 5×7 inserts to hold things about brad’s grandfather, and then one more (a design f page protector cut down) to hold more photos from the week.

i don’t usually pick a color theme for my layouts. i don’t mind the hodgepodge look. but this week’s blue & yellow theme is really working for me. i love how the colors of my quilt, which is thoroughly documented in this layout, tie in to the rest of the spread. fun!

also, i know it’s not a particularly happy event, but i am really happy to have project life to document our memories and reflections of brad’s grandpa. they’re important memories, so even though it’s a sad time, i tried to collect some memories of him in this layout.
