i’ve had these pages done for over a week now. i finally got around to taking pictures yesterday afternoon.
here’s week 3!
click on above photo to enlarge it.
dates covered: january 14-20
what happened this week: i was super short on photos! how did that happen?!? good thing i have a surplus of adorable journal cards and other cardstock that i used to fill the spaces. photos include brad’s breakfast that i make him every morning, a shot from an old navy shopping trip, my starbucks breakfast of choice, a photo of an old fashioned at our favorite place with thursday night specials, and pictures of an adorable puppy that i fell in love with at a meet & greet at our local pet store.

products used: as always, lots of cards from the seafoam core kit. i also added a couple cards from the january studio calico project life kit. that hello weekend was a free printable i got a while ago.

techniques used: nothing new this week. i did tuck in a receipt from our thursday night out, but that’s as creative as i got.

i freaked out a little bit when i realized how few photos i had from this week, but i really really like how this layout turned out anyway.

Old Fashioneds and a cute puppy. Sigh. I have a puppy fever so bad! And we already have two that are a handful.

I LOVE all the color in your spread. Every week I aim for the perfect balance of color + white space + handwritten journaling + printed text and so far I seem to fall just short but I think you did a great job on this week’s spread. I love that you documented micro-moments of your day, like breakfast or happy hour; I’m aiming to do more of this, too, instead of the typical big photo of the kids

I love how your spreads turned out – even with so few photos. I’m always at a loss when I realize I didn’t take many photos over the week – I love the inclusion of the receipt, too. I’ll totally have to remember that
Love that Hello Weekend card and was going to ask where you got it
I’m also using the SC Kit, and I have Seafoam but haven’t been inspired to use it yet.

I love the way you’re adding text to your photos! I’ve been doing that a little, but not as much as you…it really ties the layout together! I also love the journaling on the diagonal striped card.

I have no idea how you managed to leave a pet store without that puppy. I would not be strong enough to do it – lol. I haven’t found myself short on photos yet – but if I do it will be filler cards to the rescue and maybe a quote or two

I’m not sure why but I still have no idea how these Project Life projects work? Do you order things online or do you print them off? I’m not sure why I’m so confused by it…

It looks fantastic! I’m stuck on a week with VERY few photos at the moment and I’m really not sure how to go about filling it.
LOVE your Old Navy buys! They have some really great fitness stuff at the moment.
