have you heard of bulu?

by Sarah Zinkel on February 3, 2013

i’ve been on a hunt for a good subscription box. i’ve seen so many other friends try & love their box of choice, and i wanted one too! i was having a hard time deciding which one to try, though. there are so many options of food, health, beauty product, etc. subscriptions and i didn’t know which i’d like the most.

that’s why i was so excited to be given the opportunity to try out bulu box!

bulu box

bulu box is a monthly subscription service that sends out samples of vitamin, supplement, and health products. (definitely right up my alley.)

i received the january box, and was so excited to dive in!

bulu box

i received:

  • perfect blocks balanced nutrition supplement – 1 serving
  • dream water – 1 serving
  • immuno gum – 10 pieces!
  • homeopathic sinus congestion remedy – 12 pills
  • NRGX labs red stinger black label – 1 serving

bulu box also includes an insert with a description of each of the products (which i know is missing from other subscription boxes) and information on the full-sized products. it was nice to be able to reference the insert instead of finding the product websites to get more information about them.

bulu box

i haven’t tried all of the products yet, but i am surprisingly pleased with all of the ones that i have tried! i would not normally purchase some of these items, so i was a little unsure when i unpacked my box. i think that makes this an awesome package, though. i never would have purchased dream water, but i ended up having just about the best night of uninterrupted sleep i’ve had in a long time last night after trying it.

and i need to do more research on the product, but i took the NRGX labs red stinger yesterday morning before i headed out to shovel snow + clean the house. holy energy! i’m not going to say that it was the reason behind my insanely productive day (8,500 steps on my fitbit by 1pm without even leaving my house!), but i think it definitely contributed.

another great thing about bulu box? it’s only $10 per month. and shipping is free, of course! that’s pretty hard to beat.

overall, i think bulu box is a great product for anyone interested in health and wellness who likes to try out new products. one of my biggest obstacles in making a purchase is often the fact that i can’t try it before buying a large container. this totally solves that problem!

i’m not sure if i’m going to continue getting bulu box long term, but i am excited to see how the february box compares to january’s!

do you receive any monthly box subscriptions?

I got the box for a few months, but after a while the “health and fitness” professional side of me got the best of me, and I found myself second guessing if I should even be trying some of these things….eventually my boxes would sit there virtually untouched. I did however find a protein powder that I really like through Bulu.

This is CRAZY timing! Bulu just found me on Twitter and I just started to follow them. It looks like a great deal for $10! Thank you for posting and great descriptions/ pictures of the box/products!

I saw this via Vitacost–I’m tempted but yet am picky about health-related items/products so would probably end up only using a few things out of each box.

I don’t have any monthly subscriptions, but there are a few I’ve been interested in…I need to find that Dream Water though! It would come in handy during the periods of change that always cause we insomnia. [Does it have melatonin in it?]
