happy birthday jake!

i can’t believe my baby is already one year old!

brad and i adopted jake last october from a rescue organization near madison. honestly, it was one of our best decisions ever! i can’t even imagine out little family without jake now.

jake’s birthday was on july 5th and of course we had to spoil him a little bit.

i made the same “peanut butter delight” doggie birthday cakes as i made for capone’s birthday in december.

anyway, last night, brad and i started talking about what kind of dog with think jake is. the rescue organization didn’t really know and we got all kinds of possible mixes: lab, boxer, bulldog, terrier, but no one really knew. (it didn’t help that every single one of the dogs in jake’s litter looked different.)

one of our friends thinks that he definitely has greyhound in him. seriously, when he starts running, you can’t stop him! i wasn’t really convinced on that though – i didn’t think he really looked like a greyhound. but then i found these photos of italian greyhound/lab mixes…

i’m still not sure though. i guess he might just have to remain a mystery dog.
