one of my all-time favorite snacks is chips. add dip & i’m in heaven! make it tortilla chips and guacamole and you better watch your fingers!
so, when i was given the opportunity to try out two new chips from green giant, i jumped at the chance!
full disclosure: i was provided with two bags of chips and compensation in exchange for my honest review of these chips. as always, all opinions expressed on the blog are my own.
i was sent two flavors of chips to try – garden ranch roasted veggie tortilla chips and barbecue multigrain sweet potato chips. i always like both ranch-flavored chips and sweet potato chips, so they both sounded great to me!
the chips arrived on the same day that brad and i were hosting a cook out at our house, so i busted them open right away and shared them with our guests! we had a (very unofficial and impromptu) mini taste test and the results were split.
both of the boys liked the garden ranch better and us three girls like the bbq the best! the garden ranch chips had good flavor, but they were a bit salty for my taste! the bbq chips were very crunchy with a smoky flavor.
something for everyone i guess!
i’m always curious about serving sizes & calorie content when i pick out chips. the serving size for each of these was 1 oz. the bbq chips have 120 calories/serving and the garden ranch have 130 calories/serving. that’s 5 servings per bag. in my experience, i’d say that’s pretty average!
now i just need to work on keeping myself from eating more than one serving! when i’ve mastered that, it will truly be an accomplishment.
will i buy these chips myself if i see them in my supermarket?
probably! i think i’d go for the sweet potato chips over the ranch, but either would satisfy a chip craving emergency.
