brad and i had a nice little friday night over here.
the house was clean, the dogs were walked and ready to play, and we have some fun plans for today!
in addition to all of those things, we had a pretty good dinner. we ate outside, which always makes me happy!
(in my new bowls from pier 1 – i love them! the colors are perfect w/ our fiestaware.)
the salad had a mixed csa greens base with cucumber (from brad’s co-worker), csa tomatoes, csa purple bell pepper, red onion, shredded cheddar, and honey mustard dressing.
the main course was freshly grilled brats.
i always pre-cook our brats by boiling them for 8-10 minutes in a mixture of beer, water, and sliced onions before brad grills them. i think they taste better that way!
we also had some chips & guacamole on the side.
to make the meal just a bit better?
homemade sangria! i’m working on perfecting my recipe. i think i’m just about there. this batch was not too sweet, nice & boozey, and still fruity!
after a little while of doing our own thing, we ended the night with an ice cream stop at dairy queen! i got a vanilla cone dipped in cherry – yum.
i wish every friday night was like that!
what your idea of a perfect friday night?
mine has definitely changed in the past few years since graduating college, that’s for sure!
