i finally got a donut pan on thursday afternoon last week…
and i finally made donuts on thursday evening!
i put out a call on twitter for a good (easy) donut recipe to make first and kelly suggested that i check out sarah snacks. i’m glad i took kelly’s advice because as soon as i saw the recipe for these vegan strawberry donuts with chocolate glaze, i was sold.
the only change i made was to use regular butter instead of earth balance (thus making them non-vegan…) since i don’t have any earth balance!
i also made 6 regular sized donuts and 24 mini’s (and i still had leftover batter!).
and finally, we stored them in the refrigerator because the glaze never really hardened.
all i can say is, i can’t wait to make more donuts!
yesterday’s post definitely helped me put something things into order in my mind and get back on track and i did really well with my three goals for the week, too! i juiced, tracked my food, and didn’t watch any tv, which resulted in a crazy productive day! i don’t feel like i watch much television on a daily basis, but when it wasn’t an option last night, i definitely found myself working on things that i usually let slide until the weekend. that felt great and i’m excited to see what i can accomplish with a whole week off from evening television!
i woke up with a crampy stomachache. it’s still bothering me and it’s pretty painful, but i’m trying to push through it and get some work done!
