i’ve seen other bloggers do similar coffee talk posts and i love the idea so i’m trying it out today!

coffee talk friday

if we were having coffee this morning, i would go on and on about how excited i am for fall television premiers. our dvr is working overtime already and i’m feeling like i might need to try to cut a couple shows. i record grey’s anatomy, glee, the mindy project, survivor, america’s next top model (not a fall premier, but still a weekly watch!) and the biggest loser. brad and i also record the big bang theory and how i met your mother to watch together. that’s a lot of shows – approximately 6.5 hours (including commercials, which we do not watch) per week. i get so excited for a new episode, though, and catching up on the shows is my favorite time to get some solid knitting done.

if we were having coffee this morning, i’d tell you that i’ve got the tiniest bit of baby fever. brad and i aren’t quite ready to give baby-making a try, but i’m definitely not feeling hugely opposed to it anymore. that’s a big adjustment considering even just 3 months ago the thought of us having a baby at this point in our lives made me want to run far far away. like i said, we’re not sure there yet. for now, i am 100% satisfied with my fur babies and admiring others’ babies from afar.

if we were having coffee this morning, i’d tell you that i am super pumped to be participating in janetha’s holiday hustle challenge (aka the 24-day advocare challenge). i’ve got tons of support for this challenge – brad, my sister, and my mom are all doing it too! i definitely need a body re-boot and i think this will be a perfect way to go into the holidays with some positive & healthy momentum! i will definitely do another post or two on the challenge once we get started.

if we were having coffee this morning, i would tell you that i am so looking forward to next weekend. my mom and stepdad and brad’s parents are coming down to visit. we are getting my mom & stepdad’s old sectional couch to replace the hand-down couches from brad’s parents that we’ve been using for the last three years. we’ve also got big plans to install hardware on our kitchen cabinets (finally!!) and to go out to eat somewhere downtown.

if we were having coffee this morning, i would wish you a wonderful weekend! i definitely plan on having one!

You are not alone in your baby fever. I’ve had some serious baby fever for the last 6 months or so.

I am also super excited about fall tv!
Baby fever can come on strong when all of your friends start having them. Brody and I agreed we’d wait five years so we could enjoy each other, travel, work at our careers, etc. and it was a great decision for us. We timed it pretty well too because Finley was born 20 days after our 5 year anniversary :)

wow, that really is perfect timing! :) brad and i are thinking about trying for 2-3 years from now, and we’ve been married two, so that seems about right for us too.

I love this format! If we were having coffee this morning, I would share some biscotti with you and tell you that I can’t wait for DVR. We still don’t have it but have finally decided to get it. I would tell you that I am excited to go to the winery this afternoon and am excited that baby fever is starting to catch you. Baby #2 fever is already catching for me. :) Happy Sunday Sarah!

haha, thanks for that. it’s funny, i feel like i’d like my own baby, but i don’t get a burning desire to go ask someone else if i can hold theirs….

YES fall TV!!!!! I’ve been waiting for you for so loooong!

And YAY to baby fever. :) If it helps, I don’t really want to hold other people’s babies either, but I love mine, and you’ll definitely love yours. :)
