in this season of thankfulness, i definitely like the idea of intentionally noting the things for which i am thankful.
big, elaborate projects, like cathy’s 30 days of thankful album, while so so awesome, would definitely be started, and then abandoned halfway through the month.
it’s so much easier for me to simply make a list. it definitely still achieves my goal of intentional thankfulness, but i’m so much less likely to lose steam with it! that’s why as soon as julie announced her 30 days of the little things challenge, i printed the list & have been keeping up with it every day!
some of the items on the list so far:
- dinners out with new friends
- sweatshirts & sweatpants on a chilly night
- delicious-smelling christmas candles
- puppy snuggles
- a home-cooked dinner after a week of eating out way too much
i plan to slip this list right into my project life album for my thanksgiving-week layout!
what are you feeling thankful for this month?
…in the depths of holiday gift making.
…but trying not to skip the thanksgiving spirit despite the bombardment of christmas everything!
…eating out way too much.
…listening to old episodes of this american life at work.
…participating in julie’s 30 days of the little things (although it’s really more of a 30 days of thankful for me since most of the things i’m listing aren’t that little.)
…printing photos to finally fill the frames in our house. it feels awesome!
…adding a monthly massage to my routine. this is the second month in a row that i’ve had one and it’s so amazing. i just go for 30 minutes, but wow, what a difference it makes!
…excited to see catching fire! i’m not sure i’ll see it opening weekend, but soon for sure.
…contributing cranberry relish to my family’s thanksgiving dinner table. this is the first year i’ve been asked to bring something. talk about feeling like an adult!
…wishing for a nice day this weekend to take some family photos for our holiday card! sending holiday cards – talk about feeling like an adult x2!
…obsessed with the new collars i picked out for jake & capone from this etsy shop. they’re their christmas presents!
…feeling very lucky (about life in general) lately.

i’ve got what feels like a million craft projects in progress right now.
this is a peek of my craft table/corner in our office.
currently, i’m working on:
- an autumn table runner (just waiting for a binding to be sewed on)
- a stack of holiday gifts (ready to be packaged up)
- a knitted cowl (holiday gift)
- my striped blanket (i feel like i’ll be working on that forever)
- my december daily album (see it sitting on the floor?) – just getting bits & pieces ready before december 1
and about 10 other projects i’m plotting in my head but am waiting to get the supplies until a few of the above items are finished.
are you working on any projects right now? making any homemade holiday gifts?
