good morning and happy hump day!
compared to last week, this has been a much more calm week – just catching up on things that i let slide while i was prepping for my presentation and letting myself breathe. it’s pretty great!
i’ve had more time to cook (yay!) so my what i ate wednesdays should get a little more exciting again!

huge mug of coffee to start the day. always!
and oats seem to have gone by the wayside in favor of smoothies or yogurt + granola as it is getting warmer and warmer outside!
this was a banana, cherry, and chocolate smoothie and it was delicious! i usually add spinach to my smoothies no matter what, but we were all out on this day.
i was a little snacky in the morning, so i grabbed a hard boiled egg to eat with my water and vitamins.
i am definitely way more snacky on weekends and work-at-home days than when i’m in the lab. unlimited access to our food is not good for me!
my lunch was brad’s breakfast, so i had a mix of lunch and breakfast foods.
2 eggs with a sprinkle of cheese, some carrots with hummus, and sauteed mushrooms and onions.
i love pieced together lunches like this! i feel like i get to eat more than i really am because of all of the different foods to taste.
more snacks…
babybel cheese and some kinder chocolate!
i got hooked on all kinds of german candies when i was there in high school. now whenever i go to world market, i have to grab a couple of my favorites!
and you guys already saw my dinner in monday’s post…
we had burgers, morel mushrooms, and asparagus!
mmm. this was quite the tasty day. i’m enjoying reliving it now!
***
i’ve got a lot of things on my to-do list for today, so i’m going to get to it!
have a great wednesday!

Hello from WIAW. I can’t think of a better way to start off the day than with a smoothie. That sounds like a good breakfast this morning. Kids will be getting up soon and would LOVE it. Thanks for the inspiration. Jana

Mmm Kinder chocolate! So smooth and yummy! I love Kinder Surprise eggs (with the prize inside!) but that’s only found in Canada

I have the same problem, when I am home all day I am incredibly snacky, and I don’t even care about how bad the food is that I’m snacking on! I’m going to boil some eggs up right now- you inspired me to move my habit away from the chocolate!
