it’s only 8am and it’s already been a morning.
i’m working on seeing the hilarious in this morning’s events and letting that outweigh the frustration/annoyance, but it’s a process.
anyway, i’ve got tons of very green food to show you today for jenn’s what i ate wednesday link partay. today’s version will be less ramble-full than usual.

green breakfasts:
lots of smoothies with spirulina and the usual coffee + water + vitamins combo.

green lunches:
massive salads: bed of spinach, roasted mushrooms, roasted green peppers, roasted zucchini, and cottage cheese “dressing”.
*
green dinners:
baked white fish (thanks again for the fish, mom!) with steamed asparagus.
lemon cilantro quinoa and chickpea salad. with steamed asparagus again. i can’t get enough!
and there you go. lots of green meals from the past week!

now i’m off to try to turn this day around!

mmm, i love fresh green beans! when i worked at the garden last summer, we’d snack on raw ones all day.
Sending happy vibes for a better day. Maybe some green-grape Chardonnay tonight if needed?
I’d have to go with avocados, but I like most green things.

i love asparagus season! we grilled some more last night and it was PERFECT.
I don’t think I’ve ever steamed asparagus – I always roast or saute it. I will have to try that out. Roasting makes me SO impatient.

i usually prefer to roast almost any veggie, but steaming takes almost no time, which is what i was going for last week.

the salad was so delicious – and very refreshing!
Well, I LOVE asparagus!! I would also list green beans, spinach, and broccoli. And mint ice cream!

Favorite Green food right now is Broccoli! I also like spinach.
