happy monday to all of my bloggy loves!
this weekend was a dream come true. i can’t even describe it any other way.
oh, wait, actually i can. it was a whirlwind!
friday, saturday, and sunday were filled with family, friends, fun, laughs, tears, and so much love! ♥
thank you so much to jess, lindsay, and kelly for writing guest posts for me this weekend. if you missed them, go check out:
- jess’s tips for staying healthy while traveling
- lindsay’s creative lunch ideas
- kelly’s post about the amazing dane county farmers’ market
there was absolutely nothing i would have changed about saturday, except to slow it down. we had so much fun, the weather was perfect, everyone looked great, and i married the love of my life!
i really need to organize my photos and figure out how on earth i am going to recap the wedding on the blog (without going into too much detail and boring everyone to tears!), so for today, here’s a quick sneak peek of a few iphone photos from the day!
***
brad and i are both staying home today to try to get our life organized! we have so much to do:
- laundry
- go to the bank
- put away/find homes for all of our wedding gifts
- read all of our cards
- grocery shopping
- laundry
and so much more!
it’s going to be another busy day, but i think we can get it all done!
*****
how many days did you take off from work before/after your wedding?
i took off the whole week before and then one day after. brad only took of the day before and after!
did you go on a honeymoon right after the wedding?
we’re taking a mini-moon at a b&b this week. hopefully we’ll go on a bigger trip in about a year!
how long after you were married did you change your relationship status and name on facebook?
we just did it last night!
it’s so weird, but i love it!

Congratulations! Enjoy the newlywed days….
We’ve been married for a little over two years and haven’t taken an official honeymoon yet! My husband was in graduate school at Johns Hopkins when we got married and started another grad program Stanford immediately following the other one! We’ve taken small vacations (sailing trip in The Bahamas, a week in Florida, and we’re going to Santa Barbara in a few weeks). SOME day we’ll take a real honeymoon!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
so glad it turned out just like you wanted! love those flowers:) can’t wait to see more pictures!
Congratulations to you and Brad! I’m so glad your weekend was perfect! xo
Congratulations! Also looking forward to seeing more photos!!
For our “honeymoon” we went to Hawaii 3 weeks after our wedding for my husband’s conference while he was a PhD student.
Hawaii is a pretty awesome conference location though! I’ve only been to conferences in Anaheim, San diego, and Orlando – not my top honeymoon destinations…!
Congratulations! Sounds like it couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend! And you looked gorgeous!
We have two days of rest after the wedding and then it’s a full day of traveling before the honeymoon. Afterwards, I’m looking forward to normal, non planning life again
oh yeah, I can’t imagine planning a honeymoon along with wedding planning! but it would definitely be nice to have more time off to relax now!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see more wedding pictures.
