ok guys, i am beyond excited for 2012. this year has the potential to be absolutely amazing and i am going to do my best to make sure that it is beyond my wildest dreams!
i know i am going to graduate with my phd in nutritional sciences. whether it happens in august or december is still up in the air, but it’s happening. period.
and then i’ve got a whole bunch of other things in the works for the new year including some blog stuff, some fitness/running stuff, some education stuff, and some house-hunting stuff. (not to be vague or anything…)
but, with all of those things going on i thought it would be important to set a couple 2012 goals. not a million like i made in 2011, but maybe 5ish.
i started with a massive list…
and then chose the ones that are the highest priorities for me.
so here they are.
2012 goals
1. run at least 3 races including a 5k, crazylegs (8k), and a half marathon (more on this soon…).
2. continue working on sarah learns by trying new foods, creating recipes, participating in the blogging community, and improving my photography. (i do have specifics in mind for this goal!)
3. pay off all credit card debt. we’re so close! 2012 will be the year.
4. go on one date night per month – like a real date night where we actually dress up and go out for dinner and/or a movie, or something else.
5. graduate with my phd and find a job. (this one might be the hardest…the finding a job part.)
and with this all, i want to slow down. concentrate on one thing at a time and on being in the moment. i want to continue to make me-time and find happiness. if at any point one or all of these goals stops making me happy, then i’ll re-evaluate and move forward!
last year i did a really bad job of reviewing my goals. i honestly forgot what some of them were by the middle of the year. part of the problem was making too many, but i also need to remind myself of what i’m working for.
i wrote all of my goals down on a post-it and i will keep it on the active page of my planner all year so i am constantly reminded of them!
